Many patients look a clinic up before they call it. They want to know three things: do you treat what I have, when are you open, and how do I get an appointment without waiting on hold. A clinic website is worth what it costs only if it answers those three questions on a phone in a few seconds. This guide shows what that costs with us, what it should contain, and the privacy and professional rules a clinic website has to respect in India and the Philippines. Every Digiocular price here is in US dollars and comes from our published price list.
How much does a clinic website cost?
A clinic website is priced like any other business website: a base build, plus the features that let patients do something on it. These are the lines a clinic usually needs.
| What you need | Price (USD) | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Business website | $599 | Clinic profile, services, doctors, location and contact, delivered in 5–7 days |
| Appointment booking system | $249 | A booking calendar on Cal, Calendly or a custom build |
| Booking & Appointment website | $799 | For clinics where booking is the core: online booking, calendar sync, automated reminders, deposit collection, delivered in 7–10 days |
| Payment gateway | $249 | Online payment for consultation fees or deposits through Stripe, Razorpay or PayMongo |
| Live chat or WhatsApp widget | $99 | A chat button that stays on screen as patients scroll |
| Extra language | $249 per language | Every page written and checked in a second language |
| Google Business Profile setup | $149 | Your clinic's profile on Google Maps and Search, set up and optimised |
| Maintenance plan | $49/mo | Security monitoring, uptime alerts, performance checks, small content updates |
For most clinics that means one of three combinations. A single doctor who takes appointments by phone or WhatsApp needs the business website alone, from $599. A clinic that wants patients to pick a slot themselves adds the booking system, which makes $848. A multi-doctor clinic that wants calendar sync, automated reminders and deposits is better served by the Booking & Appointment build, from $799.
What should a clinic or doctor's website include?
Many clinic websites fail the same way: a beautiful home page, and the practical facts buried or missing. Start with the facts.
- What you treat, in patients' words: "root canal" and "child fever", not only the name of your specialty. One short section or page per main service.
- Each doctor: name, recognised qualifications, specialty, registration number, and the days and hours they see patients.
- Opening hours for every day, including holidays, and what a patient should do in an emergency outside them.
- Location: the address, a map, the nearest landmark and parking. Patients who cannot find a clinic do not book with it.
- How to book: one clear action on every page, whether that is WhatsApp, a call or a booking calendar.
- Languages: if your patients speak Hindi, Tagalog or another language, the key pages should too.
- A plain privacy notice explaining what you collect when someone books and why.
Every website we build also carries what our price list calls "SEO baked in — Schema.org, semantic HTML, sitemap". For a clinic, that is what lets search engines and AI assistants read the facts above as data rather than guessing at them. More on that below.
Should patients book through WhatsApp, a booking calendar, or both?
It depends on who manages your appointments, not on what looks modern.
- WhatsApp suits a clinic with a receptionist who can reply quickly. The patient taps once, a message opens with the clinic already filled in, and a person confirms the slot. It feels personal, and there is nothing new for the patient to learn.
- A booking calendar ($249) suits a clinic that wants patients to book at 11pm without anyone answering. The patient sees open slots, picks one and gets a confirmation. It works best when each doctor's schedule is kept up to date.
- Both together suit many clinics with more than one doctor: the calendar for routine visits, WhatsApp for questions that do not fit a slot.
How do Google and AI assistants read a clinic's services, hours and location?
They read the words on your pages, and they read structured data: a hidden, standard description of your clinic written in the schema.org vocabulary that Google and other search engines share. Schema.org has a type for exactly this. It defines MedicalClinic as "a facility, often associated with a hospital or medical school, that is devoted to the specific diagnosis and/or healthcare."
A MedicalClinic record can state the medical specialty, the services available, the address, the opening hours and whether the clinic is accepting new patients. For a single doctor's practice, schema.org has a Physician type, described as "an individual physician or a physician's office", with properties for specialty and hospital affiliation, and there is a Dentist type for dental practices. When these facts sit in the page as data, an assistant asked for a paediatrician open on Sunday near you has something exact to quote instead of something to guess.
Your Google Business Profile matters as much as your website, and it should say the same things. Google's guidelines say an individual practitioner, such as a doctor, should have their own Business Profile if they work in a public-facing role and can be contacted at the verified location during stated hours. Where a practitioner is the only public-facing one at a branded location, Google says the practitioner and the brand should share one profile, named with the brand first, then a colon and the practitioner's name ("Brand name: Practitioner name").
What rules apply to a clinic website in India and the Philippines?
Two kinds of rules shape a clinic website: professional rules on how doctors may present themselves, and privacy law on patient data. What follows is what we design around, not legal advice. Confirm the current rules with your medical council, professional body or lawyer before launch.
India: professional conduct and personal data
- The Indian Medical Council (Professional Conduct, Etiquette and Ethics) Regulations, 2002 state that soliciting patients directly or indirectly is unethical. They allow formal announcements such as starting a practice, a change of address, temporary absence from duty and a public declaration of charges.
- The same regulations limit what a doctor may write on a signboard to their name, qualifications from a university or statutory body, titles, specialty and registration number with the name of their State Medical Council. We write doctors' profiles in that factual register, without superlatives such as "best doctor in the city".
- The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 requires a request for consent to be accompanied or preceded by a notice explaining what personal data is collected and why, and requires consent to be free, specific, informed and limited to the data needed for the purpose. For a booking form, that means a short notice and asking only for what the booking needs.
The Philippines: health data is sensitive personal information
The Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act 10173) classes information about an individual's health as sensitive personal information. Processing it is prohibited except in listed cases, the first being that the person has given consent specific to the purpose before the processing. For a clinic website, keep health questions out of the booking form, and where you must collect them, ask for consent for that specific purpose first.
How long does a clinic website take, and how do you pay?
A business website takes 5–7 days and a Booking & Appointment website 7–10 days; add-ons are scheduled into the date agreed in your quote. The main thing that moves the date is content: doctors' details, timings, service descriptions and photos of the clinic. Gathering them before kickoff is the surest way to launch on the target date.
You see the design before you pay anything. We design a custom homepage sample for your clinic in 24–48 hrs, and the sample is free. If you like it, a 25% deposit starts the build, and the remaining 75% is due on delivery, once the site is live and signed off. The code, the domain and the hosting account are in the clinic's name.
We have not published a clinic project yet. The closest build in our portfolio is Thai Royale Spa in North EDSA, Quezon City: a spa, not a clinic, but the same appointment-led shape, with a treatment menu of Thai, Swedish and Couples massage and booking through Facebook and email.
What does a clinic website cost to run each month?
The website itself has no compulsory monthly fee from us. You pay a yearly domain renewal and a hosting plan directly to those providers. Our maintenance plan is optional at $49 a month.
Clinics that also want help being found have three healthcare plans. Basic, at $249/mo, covers a website refresh, Google Business Profile management, review collection through ReviewWala and basic WhatsApp. Growth, at $499/mo, adds appointment booking, ads and monthly content. Premium is quoted individually and adds a patient portal, multi-doctor profiles and a dedicated project manager. A Google Business Profile setup on its own is $149, and a WhatsApp widget $99.
Frequently asked questions
- How much does a doctor's website cost?
- At Digiocular a doctor's or clinic website starts at $599 (USD) for a business website delivered in 5–7 days. An appointment-booking system adds $249, and a payment gateway for consultation fees adds $249.
- Can patients book appointments on WhatsApp from a clinic website?
- Yes. Healthcare websites we build include one-tap WhatsApp, which opens a message to the clinic that a receptionist confirms. A self-service booking calendar is a $249 add-on, and many clinics use both.
- What schema markup should a clinic website use?
- Schema.org's MedicalClinic type for a clinic, Physician for an individual doctor's practice and Dentist for a dental practice. They let you state specialty, services, address, opening hours and whether you accept new patients as structured data that search engines and AI assistants can read.
- Can doctors in India advertise on their website?
- India's Indian Medical Council ethics regulations of 2002 treat soliciting patients as unethical, while allowing formal announcements such as starting a practice, a change of address and a public declaration of charges. A clinic website should state facts: qualifications, registration number, services, hours and fees. Check the current rules with your State Medical Council before launch.
- How long does it take to build a clinic website?
- A business website takes 5–7 days and a Booking & Appointment website 7–10 days. You get a free custom homepage sample first, and the target launch date is agreed in writing with the scope.
