Written for businesses in India.

If you run a hotel, a restaurant, a clinic or a shop in India, you have probably been quoted anything from five figures to several lakh rupees for "a website". This guide puts our own fixed prices next to what Indian agencies and freelancers publish, so you can see where each quote sits and what it should include. Our numbers are ours. Every rupee figure below comes from a named, published guide, linked at the end.

What does a small business website cost in India?

At Digiocular the price depends on the kind of website, not on where you are. A business, restaurant or event site starts at $599. A hotel or portfolio site starts at $499. A site that takes bookings starts at $799. The table shows the starting price and the usual build time for the websites Indian small businesses ask us for most.

What does each kind of website cost at Digiocular, and how long does it take?
Website typeStarts at (USD, one-time)Usual build time
Landing Page$3493–4 days
Business Website$5995–7 days
Restaurant / Café$5995–7 days
Hotel$4995–7 days
Booking & Appointment$7997–10 days
E-commerce Store$9992–3 weeks
Multi-page Corporate$1,2992–3 weeks

A starting price covers a site of that type built to a normal scope. More pages, a Hindi edition or Razorpay payments are separate lines in your quote, each with its own price.

Why are Digiocular's prices in USD, and how do I pay from India?

We publish one price list for every country we work in, so a hotel in Varanasi and a café in Manila see the same number for the same work. All prices are published in US dollars; local currency is available on request for India. If you would rather be invoiced in rupees, ask when you request a quote. The written proposal states the currency, the way to pay and any taxes before you pay anything.

What do Indian agencies and freelancers typically charge?

Indian market prices vary widely, and the published guides do not agree with each other exactly. These are two of the clearer ones, quoted as their authors wrote them:

  • GoDaddy India (guide updated 2 April 2026) puts a basic website design at ₹40,000 to ₹1,00,000, a small business website of 8 to 16 pages at ₹50,000 to ₹1,50,000, and an e-commerce website at ₹1,00,000 to ₹5,00,000.
  • The same GoDaddy guide puts a domain at ₹100 to ₹6,000 a year and hosting at ₹200 to ₹500 a month.
  • Zethic Technologies (12 June 2026) puts a basic business site of 5 to 10 pages at ₹30,000 to ₹80,000, a small business CMS site at ₹80,000 to ₹2,00,000 and a corporate website at ₹2,00,000 to ₹6,00,000.
  • Zethic also compares who builds it: freelancers at ₹15,000 to ₹80,000 for a full small business website, and agencies at ₹80,000 to ₹3,00,000 for the same scope.

Zethic prints its own dollar equivalents too: $360 to $960 for a basic business site and $960 to $2,400 for a small business CMS site. That lets you set our USD prices beside rupee quotes without us doing the currency conversion for you. Whoever you hire, compare what the quote includes, not only the total. A cheap quote that leaves out design, content or support after launch often costs more by the end of the first year.

What is included in the price, and what costs extra?

The starting price already includes a custom design laid out for phones first, search basics (clean structure, structured data and a sitemap), a private preview before launch, SSL, backups, one round of revisions, two weeks of free support and the full code in your name.

Things a site has to do are priced as add-ons, so you only pay for what you use. A booking system is $249. A payment gateway (Stripe, Razorpay or PayMongo) is $249. An online ordering flow for a restaurant is $399. A WhatsApp chat button is $99, and each extra language, such as a Hindi edition, is $249. If you need us to write the words, page copywriting is $99/page.

The payment provider charges its own fees on top of our one-time setup. Razorpay's pricing page lists a standard platform fee of 2% per successful domestic transaction, 18% GST on that fee, and no setup fee or annual maintenance charge.

After launch, you can run the site yourself, add a maintenance plan at $49/mo or a monthly retainer at $99–$499/month. Domain and hosting are separate lines in your quote.

How long does it take to build a website?

The free homepage sample comes 24 to 48 hours after the discovery call. Then a landing page takes 3–4 days, most business sites 5–7 days and an online store 2–3 weeks. Every type, and what delays a launch, is in our guide to how long a website takes to build.

The biggest factor in hitting those dates is how quickly your photos, text and feedback reach us. A hotel that sends its room photos and prices on day one launches sooner than one that finds them in week two. We agree the target date in writing when the scope is set.

Which Indian businesses has Digiocular built websites for?

  • Hotel Vagmi, a boutique hotel in Varanasi: a full rebuild of hotelvagmi.com with its own branded booking engine, tonight's room rate read live from that engine, one-tap WhatsApp on every room and a complete Hindi edition.
  • Sri Shyam Villas, a boutique hospitality property in India: a dark, cinematic website with a page for each suite and a one-tap WhatsApp booking enquiry, launched in three weeks with PageSpeed scores of 98 on mobile and 100 on desktop.
  • Footway India, a D2C footwear brand: an online store on Shopify, covering the product photography brief, listings, payments, shipping and Meta catalogue sync.
  • Rang Travels, a Delhi travel agency: a full multi-page rebuild with 42 journeys written from the agency's own tour documents, a festival calendar and an enquiry form that sends from their own mailbox.
